How can we tell if a skincare product has non-neutralized glycolic acid?
There are two ways to essentially test if your skincare has non-neutralized glycolic. The good news is you can do this at home. The first is applying the product to your skin and experiencing the Trustworthy Tingle. The Trustworthy Tingle refers to the sensation you will feel when applying non-neutralized glycolic acid. The tingling, sometimes as strong as a sting, is an immediate way to identify the active non-neutralized glycolic acid. Don’t worry, this is completely safe and normal. In fact, it means it is working and traveling deep into your pores to rejuvenate the skin. If the Trustworthy Tingle is too strong for you at first, reduce the amount applied and add lotion to soothe your skin. Your skin will adjust and build a tolerance the more you use it.
